TelePad-4 iPhone mic stand adaptor

Vancouver BC based Primacoustic is pleased to announce the all-new TelePad-4 designed specifically for Apples latest iPhone. This enables musicians to mount their iPhone directly on a mic stand, music stand or hi-hat to allow them to view one of the many applications that are proliferating around the globe.

According to Primacoustic Sales manager Steve McKay: “The new iPhone-4 is already selling at record levels and we wanted to make sure our customers had an immediate solution on hand. The TelePad-4 is perfectly suited for chord charts, backing tracks, guitar tuner and lyrics for those that play live.”

The TelePad-4 features a high impact cradle with quick release to take the hone off the stage in between sets. This attaches to the microphone stand clamp which is equipped with a ball joint for 360° rotation and adjustable viewing angle. This way, the TelePad can be used in both portrait and landscape modes. The adjustable clamp allows the TelePad to fit on the stand portion, the boom and on other devices like hi-hats, music stands and crash cymbal stands.

The TelePad is a truly unique device designed for the popular Apple™ iPhone™ to allow the on-stage musician to position this ‘application-rich marvel’ right on the microphone stand so that it can be used as a teleprompter for lyrics, song chords, charts, metronome, backing tracks, playback and set list.

Made from high impact molded plastic, the TelePad is easily mounted on a mic stand or boom attachment with the adjustable clamp. Once ready, the iPhone slides and locks into place and the cradle can be rotated 360° and or adjusted to the desired angle for viewing. The TelePad come with extra padding to fit slightly smaller phones or devices like the Apple Touch™ MP3 player.

The Primacoustic TelePad is a unique mounting device for the Apple™ iPhone™ and Touch™ that makes it easy to position an iPhone on a mic stand for easy viewing and hands free use.

The design begins with a custom molded cradle that snugly fits around the iPhone without interfering with the microphone and switches. A spring loaded retainer clip lets you release the iPhone quickly for in-between set phone calls and messaging. The slide-on the cradle attaches to the mic stand clamp where a ball joint allows the phone to be rotated and angled for optimal viewing.

A 3-way adjustable mic stand clamp includes a rubberized ribbed lining that lets you snug the unit around a wide range of pipe sizes. This allows the TelePad to mount on the stand, boom or various attachments like drum stands. To expand functionality, the TelePad comes with a series of self-adhesive foam inserts you can use to accommodate smaller devices like the iPod™ Touch™.

How To Use The TelePad

The TelePad is a wonderful device designed to hold your iPhone or iPod Touch on a microphone or drum stand. Using the TelePad allows you to set a reasonable hands-free viewing angle while also allowing quick removal of the phone so that it does not get "borrowed" between sets!

The clamp is opened simply with a thumb screw and placed around a tubular stand such as a microphone or drum stand. The clamp's adjustable design accommodates stands up to one inch in diameter and the rubber lining provides a snug "finger tight" fit so no tools are needed.

A ball joint allows your iPhone to be viewed in portrait or landscape modes and angled for the best view. A locking ring tightens around the ball joint to prevent droop, even during a long two hour set. The phone cradle slides onto the ball joint's receiver so you can remove your phone without having to readjust the clamp and viewing angle.
