WaveMachine Labs Drumagog 5

WaveMachine Labs, the industry leader in drum replacement technology, is excited to announce the next major Drumagog release, Drumagog 5.

Available October 1 2010, Drumagog 5 represents more than two years of design and development.

Among the most requested improvements to Drumagog is sample alignment.

While Drumagog 4's auto align algorithm did a fair job, samples sometimes suffered from phase issues, especially when blended with the original track.

Drumagog 5's new Auto Align 2.0 is the result of years of collaboration between WaveMachine Labs and Fraunhofer (inventors of the MP3 format).

This work has resulted in a revolutionary new sample alignment algorithm.

Samples are now phase accurate, even in critical augmentation/blending scenarios.

Another significant update is Direct Plugin Hosting.

This exciting feature allows Drumagog to host it's own VSTi plugins, greatly expanding the sound library options.

Instruments like BFD2, Kontakt, and Superior Drummer are simply inserted into Drumagog for a seamless triggering experience.

New Triggering Engine

Drumagog's already powerful triggering engine has been improved to more accurately track the most demanding drum tracks. Even complicated rolls and flams are no match for Drumagog 5's new triggering engine.

Auto Align 2.0

A collaboration between WaveMachine Labs and Fraunhofer (inventors of the MP3 format) has resulted in a revolutionary new alignment algorithm. Drums hits are perfectly aligned and sample accurate. Drumagog now has the most accurate sample alignment algorithm available anywhere.

Plug-In Hosting (Platinum version only)

Play any virtual instrument directly from within Drumagog. Plug-ins like BFD2, Kontakt, and EZ Drummer are simply inserted into Drumagog to allow a virtually unlimited sample palette. This feature replaces the older BFD interface used in Drumagog 4 Platinum. Enjoy latency-free triggering of other instruments.

Morph|Engine (Platinum version only)

In collaboration with MoReVoX sound designer Sabino Cannone, Drumagog 5 includes an entirely new way to process drums. Morph|Engine is a dynamic morphing processor which shapes your drums in a way never heard before. Snare drums take on an organic "growl", bass drums sound like they have liquid skins. Unlike traditional processing, Morph|Engine is fluid and dynamic, changing with the dynamics of every beat.

Convolution Reverb (Platinum version only)

Drumagog 5 now includes a pro-quality convolution reverb. This reverb features adjustable room size, offset, delay and more. It comes complete with an IR library custom-tailored for use with Drumagog samples. If you have an existing IR library, the reverb also reads standard 16 or 24-bit IR files.

Auto Hi-Hat Tracking

This new feature automatically detects the hi-hat pedal position (open/closed) within a track and adjusts the samples accordingly. Hi-hats are now easy to replace, accurate, and faithful to their original articulations.

Room Samples

The Gog sample format has been extended to include room and mic samples: Simply dial in the amount of room desired using the new mixer interface. Drumagog 5 comes with an updated Gog sample library to take advantage of this powerful new feature.
