Vienna Symphonic Library is by far the most ambitious sample library project ever
attempted. The brainchild of Viennese composer Herb Tucmandl, this powerful collection is
the culmination of years of imagining, planning, recording, editing and programming. Never
before have so many resources been devoted to the creation of a single sample library, and
perhaps never again.

the library was recorded), to the prodigiously talented producers and creative directors,

What is the First Edition?
This is the initial release of the Vienna Symphonic Library. In
2003, the Pro Edition will be released for Gigastudio 3.0 and EXS24, with 24 bit clarity
and even more solo and ensemble instruments. By purchasing the First Edition now, you will
automatically be enrolled in the VIP program (see below) that allows you to upgrade to the
Pro Editions for significant savings.
VIP Vienna Innovation Program
The First Edition of the Vienna Symphonic Library is not trivial in size. The Orchestral
Cube and the Performance Set for GigaStudio 2.5 is now available and together, these two
products already comprise about 90 gigabytes of music-to-be. But as impressive as that
seems, you will soon be able to upgrade to the Pro Edition for GigaStudio 3.0, and EXS24
at roughly double the size.
The eventual release of the Symphonic Cube will again redouble the effort, containing
scale and broken chord performances as well as a myriad of other nuances and performance
elements that will make your music far transcend the ordinary. Rest assured we have more
innovative ideas in store, pushing the boundaries of sampling to unprecedented levels. The
